Love at First Sight - 785 Words

I was sitting in my SUV in a casino parking garage and I was on the phone waiting for my friend to arrive. I turned and saw a man walking to his white coupe next to me. We both immediately locked eyes and recognized each other from some other time and place. It was like we both looked at each other, smiled and said, Hey, love. There you are! I have been waiting for you all of my life? Where have you been? Time froze, we smiled and were filled with instant passion. I felt the warmth and magic from the stars above shining down on us. I felt sparks. I knew I instantly loved him. I was a skeptic about love at first sight until the very moment our eyes connected. I recognized him from dreams that I have had before, he was the guy. From there, you know the old story. Girl meets boy. They share a drink, a dinner, a night out on the town, and eventually it turns into something more- an actual relationship. In the beginning, it didn’t really matter that the boy in question had an unusual occupation. But after we spent a lot more time together, I began wondering what did I get myself into. It was surely a gamble to fall in love with a poker player. Nicholas was the epitome of handsome. Tall, olive skin, dark eyes. He was so manly, so sexy, it was unreal.
